Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
Ingredience
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 (4 pound) pork shoulder roast (preferably boneless)
- 1 cup bbq sauce (Kinder’s Original)
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ¼ cup light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 extra large onion, chopped
- 2 large cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 ½ teaspoons dried thyme
For sliders:
- Hawaiian rolls, 24-pack
- Pepper jack cheese
- Some extra bbq sauce
- 2-3 tablespoons of butter, melted and seasoned with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and splash of Worcestershire sauce
- Fresh/refrigerated pickles (optional)
- Coleslaw (optional)
Instructions
- Mix everything in the slow cooker
- Cook on low for 12 hours, or on high for 5 to 6 hours
- Cut the rolls in half. Place bottom half in pyrex dish
- Add a layer of cheese
- Spread pork on top of the cheese
- Squirt thin ribbons of bbq sauce on the pork
- Add the top buns, Brush with butter mixture
- Bake at 375°F until toasted/cheese is melted
- Serve with pickles and coleslaw
